What are you doing for Halloween?!

Don’t forget: Tonight, Friday, October 29, 2010, begins Moogfest, the three day electronic music festival in Asheville, North Carolina. The schedule for tonight can be found here, and it features such acts as Big Boi, MGMT, RJD2, Panda Bear, and some incarnation of Devo sans that band’s recently injured guitarist. There are many, many other bands on hand for tonight and this weekend, as well.

Just Announced: Big Boi and Caribou to Play Moogfest

Yesterday, the organizers of Moogfest 2010 let slip some additional names of headliners for the Halloween weekend festival in Asheville, North Carolina. Previously, they had announced that Massive Attack, MGMT, and Thievery Corporation would headline the fest, while yesterday they let it be known that Outkast’s Big Boi and Caribou would also be doing so.  They also confirmed that Jónsi, lead singer and guitarist from Sigur Rós, would be a headliner of the festival (which we here at the blog had previously reported here). While Moogfest tickets were initially supposed to go on sale later this week, that date has now been pushed back to Friday, August 13, 2010. The full line-up will be announced August 10. See the Asheville Citizen-Times report on the announcement here.
